Signs of Abuse in Assisted Living

Physical and Mental Abuse in Assisted Living

Unfortunately, physical and mental abuse does go on in some assisted living facilities. This is a huge reason why it is vital to do research about a group home or clinic. If you notice that your loved one looks malnourished, you should look into the dietary plan the facility offers. Malnourishment alone is not a sign of abuse, as some patients refuse to eat very much. Bed sores can also be a sign of abuse, but it can also be a simple medical condition that needs addressed. One factor or sign of abuse doesn’t necessarily mean that your loved one isn’t being taken care of. Multiple signs of abuse mixed together should be cause for alarm. Potomac, MD can be seen here.
